π What is Community Service-Learning (CSL)? π
CSL at the University of Alberta offers students the opportunity to apply their learning in real-world contexts by partnering with local community groups. Through these partnerships, students gain valuable experience while contributing to their community and deepening their understanding of social and political issues. Plus, students can earn a CSL Certificate for their engagement! That’s a pretty neat side quest to end your journey at the UofA!
π Non-Profit Board Student Internship Program π
The NPBI Program is a super cool program that allows students to learn about non-profit boards, develop leadership skills, and contribute to community decision-making. Participants are paired with a non-profit board and mentor in Edmonton for the academic year. The program includes workshops, board meetings, and a final project, providing 50-60 hours of hands-on experience. Itβs an amazing way to get involved and build your resume!
β¨ Students can also apply for CSL scholarships to support their participation! πΌ
